Why I Love Our Youth Family

I love youth because they are my family! It has become a second home and a place to just come and be in the presence of friends, family, and, most importantly, God! One of my favorite memories was my first high school mission trip! I was a junior in high school, and I was so excited to finally come because I would get sick every time and would watch all my friends have so much fun without me! So, when this trip came around, I was literally praying that I wouldn’t get sick again…. and God answered! We rode down to Charleston, SC, and we stayed in an old church that was turned into a place for people to stay. I had so much fun going to work on the farms, gardens, homeless shelters, and sorting through clothes and toys for kids in need! It was so fulfilling to be able to do something for so many people while being able to have fun with my church family! I will never forget our delicious dinner on the first day, late-night ice cream runs, petting baby goats, and walking through the downtown market! I am so grateful to everyone who was able to make that trip happen and can’t wait to make more great memories on the next mission trip!
