Have you noticed some changes happening on the Children’s Hallway? We are in the midst of a renovation and are so excited! A few months ago, we started dreaming about helping the Children’s Hallway become more visible, easy to navigate, and a bright and welcoming space that FBG Children would love.
Cabinets and countertops have already been removed, new paint is on the walls, and the space is transforming. Besides new paint, cabinets, open shelving, and countertops, what can you expect in this renovation? From the moment you walk into the rotunda, a mural will help draw you toward the entrance to the hallway. This mural will not only add some fun and color to the space but will also be an easy way for visitors and newcomers to identify our hallway.
We are creating a new check-in space in the hallway, signage for the doors, and the new carpet will have wayfinders to help our children easily navigate to the various rooms. We hope these updates will help our space to be more inviting and welcoming to visitors and members alike.
The rooms will be updated with new furniture that will support a variety of learning styles, creating spaces that are more inclusive for all of our children. We are also opening a new Bible Study/multipurpose room with flexible seating for Wednesday Nights. The next few months will be busy as we work toward opening this new space for the upcoming school year!
Our Sunday School teachers have been amazing through this process as we had to clean out rooms and relocate for the summer. They’ve worked hard and are so appreciated. We are also grateful to the Property Committee, Finance Committee and Facilities Staff for helping our vision come to fruition and for their work to make the transformation of this space a reality.
Thank you for being a church that values children and creates welcoming spaces for all!
