First Baptist Greenville (FBG), SC, an inclusive faith community affiliated with the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and the Alliance of Baptists, is seeking a full-time Minister of Community Engagement with an MDiv or other relevant education. FBG is known for our work in the community, rooted in our commitment to love and empower our neighbors.

This position leads this work by building relationships with local nonprofit partners and working alongside our Missions and Partnership & Affiliations Committees to engage the congregation in service, learning, and advocacy in the community. In collaboration with our Minister of Youth and College, this person will spend approximately 20% of their time planning youth mission experiences and serving as an additional adult presence for youth gatherings. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, relational leader with a deep commitment to justice and partnering with communities experiencing poverty, inequity, or exclusion. This person enjoys helping people of all ages deepen their faith, engage thoughtfully with their community’s needs, and put their convictions into meaningful action.
