Join us as we celebrate God’s calling on Annie Deaton’s life and ministry! You are invited to the Service of Ordination for Annie on Sunday, March 8, at 3:30pm in the Sanctuary. Come celebrate, pray and support Annie as she is ordained to the Gospel ministry. All are welcome! Church family, friends and community!

Annie will also share her testimony as part of our 10:30am worship on Sunday, March 8.

Annie is no stranger to First Baptist Greenville. She was dedicated here as a child, grew up in our preschool and children’s ministries, sang in our choirs, served as an acolyte, learned in our Sunday School classrooms, and found her voice and calling through our Youth Ministry. Many of you have watched Annie grow from a curious kid running through the halls of our church into a thoughtful, compassionate leader who continues to pour back into the very ministries that helped shape her own life and ministry.

Over the years, Annie has served as a Youth Ministry intern, returned time and again to chaperone and support trips and retreats, and invested deeply in the life of this church. She earned both her undergraduate and MDiv degrees from Gardner-Webb University.

Today, Annie lives in Spartanburg, where she serves in full-time ministry with Young Life, Spartanburg, mentoring and walking alongside high school and college students.

Ordination is both a recognition of God’s call and a communal promise to encourage, support, and pray for those who have committed their lives to serving others in Christ’s name. We hope you will join us as we celebrate this significant moment in Annie’s journey and in the life of our church.
