A SAFE (Sexual Awareness and Family Empowerment) Seminar led by LeAnn Gardner, LISW-CP Counseling and Training, will be held Friday, September 13, 5:00-9:00pm and conclude on Saturday, September 14, 9:00am-2:00pm. Dinner is included on Friday evening, and a light breakfast and lunch are included on Saturday. The cost per couple for the weekend event is $40; per individual, it is $25. Childcare for children who are preschool through 5th grade will be provided on Saturday.
This seminar is for parents, grandparents and childcare providers of children from birth to 18 years of age. This seminar is broad in spectrum, including topics such as sexual development, how to open up discussion with your children about body safety and relationships at every stage of development, consent, puberty, explicit media exposure, and much more! Special attention will be placed on how to create a channel of communication with your children that is rooted in mutual respect, approachability and vulnerability.
