It is the day after Easter. I was overjoyed to be able to gather in person in our Easter services, especially after the past two Easters when we were not able to gather during the pandemic. It is always uplifting to hear our congregation singing the hymns and hear our beloved Sanctuary Choir be able to share their singing, too. Singing our songs of faith is an antidote to despair. Music can be a powerful healer for our spirits and a strong offering of faith and hope.
On May 1, our Sunday morning worship service will be a service of music along with Jim Dant sharing his inspiring words.
The Sanctuary Choir will sing songs of joy:
“All That hath Life and Breath Praise Ye the Lord” by Rene Clausen
“Blessed Be God” by George Frederic Handel
“O Be Joyful” by John Rutter
and songs of prayer and peace:
“Be Thou My Vision” by John Rutter
“I Will be a Child of Peace” by Elaine Hagenberg
“The Lord Bless You and Keep You” by John Rutter
along with the beloved songs of the congregation.
I am so grateful to our choir for their constant dedication and work on beautiful music for this Easter season. You will not want to miss being part of this gathering in our sanctuary to celebrate singing together!
