On Wednesday, March 11, from 5:00-7:00pm, you’re invited to join us for an evening of meaningful conversation and connection with our sibling congregation, Springfield Baptist. We will first enjoy dinner together in our Fellowship Hall. You do not have to join us for dinner, but if you plan to, please call the church office to make your reservations! No reservations are required if you plan to arrive at 6:00pm to join us for the conversation. After dinner, we’ll use the My Neighbor’s Voice format for guided table discussions designed to encourage deep listening and community building.
This will be the only adult programming for MidWeek that evening. While this will not be the focus of our conversation, for those who are new to First Baptist, here’s a bit of background: Springfield is a historic Black Baptist congregation with whom we share deep roots. Following the Civil War, formerly enslaved members of First Baptist sought to establish a spiritual home of their own, founding the church we now know as Springfield.
