Dear First Baptist Family,

I hope this note finds you filled with the joy and hope of the of the season. I wanted to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for the warm welcome this fall and the generous time you’ve given me to wrap up my responsibilities in Columbia. Your support during this transitional period has been a gift.

As our family transitions to Greenville, I am filled with a sense of anticipation and excitement for the new chapter. I am looking forward to getting to know each of you, building connections, growing together in faith, and, most importantly, sharing in the sacred work of building Christ’s kin-dom on earth as it is in heaven.

I invite you to mark your calendars for a special day this Sunday, January 7, when our family will worship with you and officially join the church. I invite you to come early that day, join us in the Fellowship Hall for breakfast at 9:15am, and share in fellowship as we begin this journey together. (Make your reservations for breakfast online.)

The following week, on January 14, I will be delivering my first sermon, kicking off a series entitled “Belonging: Longing to Be…”

Wishing you all a blessed holiday season, and I can’t wait to join the First Baptist family.

With Gratitude,
Pastor Carol McEntyre
