Lunch & More- Trick or Treat? Faithful Discernment in a World of Misinformation

Our Lunch & More team decided to have some fun and offer a Halloween themed gathering on October 30. We’ll have games and decorations, and costumes are encouraged. Our presenter will be Janna Pennington, the founding director of Furman’s Master of Science in Innovation and Leadership program. Her program is entitled, Trick or Treat? Faithful Discernment in a World of Misinformation. Janna will help us examine how media, politics, and AI shape what we see and believe, while exploring practical ways to consume information with discernment and respond to others with wisdom, compassion, and grace. In a world where it is getting harder and harder to know what information is real and what is false, Janna will help us learn to faithfully navigate today’s rapidly changing news landscape.
