Back in January, the Children’s Ministry began dreaming about what it might look like to refresh our hallway and create spaces that feel warm, welcoming and inviting for children and their families.
We are grateful for the support of church leadership and for the tireless dedication of our Property Committee, who helped us move from dream to reality. Over the past several months, we’ve watched the transformation unfold, and we are deeply thankful for the patience of our teachers, families and staff along the way. The space is coming together beautifully!
This year, our Children’s Ministry theme is Making Space: How God invites us to make space to welcome, wonder, act, pray, play, and lead. Throughout this renovation, that theme has guided us as we’ve created a cheerful and inspiring environment where FBG Kids can feel at home and excited to participate in the life of our church.
None of this would have been possible without the generosity of a congregation that values children, especially the support of the Stogner Fund.
We are thrilled to share that we are nearing the end of this renovation process! On Sunday, October 19, our children will get a special preview of the new space during the Sunday School hour. Families are encouraged to stop by and take a peek at what’s nearly complete.
Then, in early November, once all the furniture has arrived, the entire church family will be invited to a Grand Opening Celebration. Together, we will reveal the murals in the Rotunda, bless the new space, and invite everyone to walk through and enjoy the details of what has been created.
We can’t wait to share this space with you; it is truly a gift for our children, families and our whole church.
