Fitness Center & Walking Track provides members with state-of-the-art fitness and cardio equipment in a relaxed, encouraging environment. Athletic & Hospitality Rentals are available to both church members and the wider community. In addition to rentals for youth and adult sports in our gyms and ballfields, our special AYMC facility hosts meetings, classes, and special events from birthdays and baby showers to graduation and Christmas parties.
With three incredibly skilled, certified personal trainers on staff, you are sure to find just the right source of encouragement and accountability at the AYMC.
Thomas Stroud, with a background in competitive gymnastics and a passion for CrossFit training, provides tailored, effective personal workouts to both motivate and support your fitness goals. Joy Hill, with deep roots in the community surrounding the AYMC, has an energy and enthusiasm for fitness and sports that is contagious. Joy will help you stay focused and work alongside you as you lean in to improving your overall health. Trey Young, the newest addition to our training staff, will both challenge and champion you on your personal fitness journey. With a spirit of positivity that is infectious, Trey will use his extensive knowledge of sports and fitness to guide you to reaching your goals.

Thomas leads a strength training class on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 2:00pm, utilizing a variety of exercises and equipment to build muscle and improve functional mobility. Join this dynamic group in the open fitness area on the walking track to boost your overall fitness together.

If you need a low-impact way to stay active and relax your mind, Anna Rinaldi’s Chair Yoga class meets Tuesdays & Thursdays at 9:15am in the Magnolia Room. Don’t let the chairs fool you ~ this class provides a complete and comprehensive yoga practice with all of the physical and mental health benefits you want, without getting up and down off the floor.
If Gentle Flow Yoga is more your speed, Angeli Leal teaches an AYMC favorite at 3pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Come challenge yourself as you stretch, breathe, and move with this devoted group!
If deep, restorative, relaxation sounds like the perfect way to end your yoga practice, you’ve got to try Doug Kawakami’s Yoga Nidra class on Mondays at 2pm. The feedback I hear from everyone who leaves his class is, “That’s the best 20 minutes of my whole week!”
Join this energetic group of ladies for a full body strength and cardio class on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 10am in Fellowship Hall. Led by one of our senior exercise specialists, this class is a staple at the AYMC and a wonderful place to not only work out, but also make new friends who cheer each other on every step of the way. If you are looking for fitness with a side of fun, don’t miss this class! Modifications are provided as needed.
If you’re an early riser who would enjoy a 30-minute morning workout, join Mittie Taylor and her spirited workout group on ZOOM! You’ll find them there on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings. Whether you’re a beginner or have played for years, you are welcome to join our Pickleball group Monday/Wednesday/Friday from 11:00am – 1:00pm. The heart of this group centers around the theme of “everyone plays with everyone,” setting a positive tone for all players. The competitive spirit is strong with this bunch, but so is the warm welcome you’ll receive when you join in on the fun!
Begin and end your walk, jog or ride at the AYMC, where you can enjoy fully-furnished locker rooms and convenient access to the Swamp Rabbit Trail. Bad weather? Take advantage of the carpeted Walking Track as it overlooks the State-of-the-art basketball court, making its way through the lobby and providing a beautiful view of the trail and the Reedy River.

Fitness room equipment: With brand new, state-of-the-art fitness equipment, the AYMC will be a new playground for fitness enthusiasts! In addition to a comprehensive array of strength training and cardio equipment, we have added a Smith machine, dual-cable system, assisted pull up/chin dip, pre-loaded barbells, Peloton bike, step mill, recumbent elliptical, and multiple incline benches.
Walking Track: Thirteen is the lucky number on the walking track, if you’re looking to walk a mile! In all kinds of weather, our indoor walking track, overlooking the main gym, provides a safe, cool place to walk or run while enjoying gorgeous views of the Swamp Rabbit Trail and Reedy River.
Locker rooms: After working out enjoy our members-only locker rooms, fully furnished with showers and fresh towels.
