MidWeek Classic: Martyrs of Solidarity: Challenge and Grace for the Church

What is Christian martyrdom? Join theology professor Dr. Elizabeth Gandolfo for a 4-week study on martyrdom in Christian history. We will explore stories of 20th and 21st century martyrs, learn about the communities for whom martyrs of solidarity lay down their lives and consider how the witness of these martyrs challenges and graces the church today. Sessions will be interactive with discussion time and include music or visual art.

ABCs of Immigration Justice for People of Faith

How can people of faith engage immigration in the US? Join members of FBG’s JustFaith group as we share material from the JustFaith immigration module. Topics will include a history of immigration in the US, myths about immigration today, reasons behind immigration and where to find hope in a challenging issue.

Our Chrismon Tree is one of the many focuses of Christmas at FBG. Join us to learn how you can make some for your tree. The Chrismons will be weaving beads onto wire. Wire and beads are provided. Participants are asked to bring a pair of needle nose pliers. Limited to 5 participants—email me to reserve your place. This is a 2-week class that meets only on October 29 & November 5.
