5th- 7th Grade Families Building Bridges

Our children’s and youth ministries care deeply about walking alongside your family through every stage of your child’s growth. As your child prepares to transition from Children’s Ministry into Youth Ministry, we know this can be both an exciting and challenging season for them and for you.

We are offering a new family-focused initiative within our Merge program (currently a day in August designed to help rising 6th graders get to know our Youth Family). This expanded approach will create intentional space for our. newest parents/guardians/grandparents and all who help bring and support our rising youth during this transition, to feel connected, known, and supported.

Current 5th, 6th, and 7th grade families are invited to a brief, informal gathering on Sunday, April 19, following worship (when your children are practicing for Children’s Sunday with Bridget)  This will be a time to connect with our 5th-grade families, offer encouragement, and help begin building a supportive network of families who can walk alongside one another through the transition into youth ministry. I hope that this also gives our newest families a helpful glimpse into our Youth Family rhythms, calendars, and what to expect in the year ahead.

Wisdom, perspective, and reassurance offered to families just beginning the journey into Youth Ministry. Together, we are working to build a stronger parent/grandparent/guardian community within our Youth Family, where we support, encourage, and learn from one another in every season.
