About the Yard Sale

One of the busiest, most active, and most popular events of the year at First Baptist Greenville is the weekend of the church Yard Sale, where church members and friends from the community converge on the Practice Gym to joyfully haggle over furniture, office equipment, appliances, books, exercise equipment, silverware, China, toys, and other household items. Proceeds from the sale support Neighborhood Partnership and Inasmuch Days, two ministries that include handicap ramps, painting, yard work, support of local nonprofits, service days, and various emergency needs in the communities nearby.

Volunteering

While the actual Yard Sale occurs over the course of two action packed days in our Practice Gym, the preparation and planning required to make it happen takes months and involves the work of many cheerful and dedicated volunteers, who do everything from picking up furniture and other items from homes to pricing and organizing them. If you would like to consider serving on the Yard Sale Committee, email Matt Rollins to be added to the email list.

• Thursdays, 10am to 2pm, beginning September 26—regular pricing and organizing
• October 2, 5:00pm to 7:00pm—First evening pricing and organizing day (no MidWeek activities)
• November 6, 5:00pm to 7:00pm—Second evening pricing and organizing day
• March 15, 2025—Inasmuch Day to help move items into the Practice Gym
