Creativity and Chaos: Reflections on Spirituality and Conflict from Two Irish Artists

Let’s Explore the Art of Getting Along!

The Cothran Center for Vocational Reflection at Furman University has taken a group of students the last four years to the Corrymeela Community in Northern Ireland to be led through experiential play, art, dialogue, work, mealtimes and shared community to embrace difference and learn how to have difficult conversations.

Two representatives from Corrymeela, poet Pádraig Ó Tuama, and artist Jonny McEwen, will be guests of the Cothran Center and Furman University in early April, and our guests on two occasions that week as well.

Join us for MidWeek Fellowship on Wednesday, April 5, for an overview of their community of conflict ministry and then on the morning of Saturday, April 8, for some hands-on sessions as Padraig and Jonny lead us through exercises to expand our understanding of truth telling and hope in the name of Christian peace and reconciliation.
