SEE: Symbols of Our Faith
How often has your worship experience been enhanced in some way by the colorful stained glass windows in the sanctuary and by its intentionally theological architecture and design? Or how many times have you squinted up at the figures in those windows wondering how they got there and why their stories came to be represented through art in a house of worship? I answer both of these questions with a yes, which is why I am so excited about our next Spiritual Enrichment Event (SEE retreat): Symbols of our Faith.
Pam Shucker will lead us through the various artwork, sculptures and architecture that add to both the aesthetic and spiritual beauty of our campus and sanctuary. Beginning with an overview presentation and discussion in the Parlor, we will visually explore and discuss many of these faith symbols, followed by time for personal study and reflection in the actual areas with the symbols.
