In 2014, the SAVER (Sustaining and Valuing Earth’s Resources) Committee initiated projects in the lower FBG campus along the Reedy River and Swamp Rabbit Trail to help demonstrate our commitment to creation care and environmental stewardship. The rain garden near the trail was installed in 2015. Volunteers work to maintain the rain garden, to remove invasive vegetation like kudzu, and have planted hundreds of native trees, shrubs and perennials to help restore this area. Volunteers will be planting trees again this Saturday, January 11, from 9 am to noon. Click here for more information.
