On Sunday, July 14, Dr. Vivian Hamilton was celebrated on her last Sunday as Minister of Music and Worship. During the worship service, flowers were placed in her honor, and she directed the Sanctuary Choir and congregation in song. Vivian was thanked for her service in music and pastoral leadership by Minister of Pastoral Care Kyle Matthews at the beginning of the service, and Senior Minister Carol McEntyre recognized her for sixteen years of excellent service to our congregation and community. During the afternoon reception in her honor, she was presented a love offering from the congregation. The Sanctuary Choir President Danette Patterson shared some “Vivianisms” to let the broader congregation have a glimpse into Sanctuary Choir rehearsals, and Sanctuary Choir present and past members serenaded her with Peter C. Lutkin’s “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.”

Enjoy these pictures from the celebrations.
