The August 2 Roadrunners trip to Strawberry Hill was full, so we know folks are eager to be together again. Here is our plan for the next three months.
In September…
We kick off the fall with a Welcome Back Senior Adult Picnic on Friday, September 10. We will gather on the AYMC Terrace at 4:30pm. There is no planned program—just a time to reconnect with one another. The picnic is FREE, but reservations are a must to ensure we have enough food for all. Contact Amy Joye (233-2527 ext. 111 or amy.joye@firstbaptistgreenville.com) by September 1 with your preference of ham or chicken. Please join us!
In October…
Join us on Friday, October 1, for the Senior Adult Lunch and More featuring a concert by the Carolina Senior Jazz Band with a female vocalist and a wonderful lunch. Cost is $5.
On Wednesday, October 13, the Roadrunners will travel to Boone, NC. Hopefully, we will see some wonderful fall color before enjoying lunch at the Daniel Boone Inn. After lunch, we will shop in Blowing Rock before returning home. Bus cost is $3, and lunch will be $25. The bus will leave FBG at 9:30am.
And in November …
Join us on Friday, November 5, as the ever-popular Marty Shapiro performs his “Sleightly Illusional Magic by Marty” for our Senior Adult Lunch and More. You won’t be able to believe your eyes! Cost is $5.
On Wednesday, November 17, we have a real treat in store! You might know that FBG’s own Joel Kirby and Jay Burriss purchased and are renovating the Saluda Inn in nearby Saluda, NC. We will tour the renovated (and sure to be fabulous) Saluda Inn, then eat lunch in downtown Saluda. Stay tuned for more details.
Reservations for these programs are a MUST so that lunch preparation can be made correctly and we can plan for bus travel on the trips. Contact Amy Joye at amy.joye@firstbaptistgreenville.com or 233-2527, ext. 111.
The next few months offer great opportunities to gather, reconnect and enjoy each other and some fun activities. Please join us!
