April 13-24, 2015
IT IS NOT…uncommon to see a multitude of tour groups in the Holy Land of Israel any time of year. This journey, however, will be a unique experience of this sacred place. I will lead a small group of travelers on the first “Motherland Pilgrimage” of the area. Beginning in Nazareth – the hometown of Mary and the site of the
annunciation of Jesus’ birth and continuing to Magdala (home of Mary Magdala), Capernaum (home of Peter’s mother-in-law), Bethany (home of Mary and Martha) and on to Jerusalem – we will explore the life of Jesus through the eyes of the women who were an integral part of Jesus’ life.
A PILGRIMAGE… differs from a traditional tour in that it moves at a slower pace, is primarily concerned with spiritual formation rather than absorption of information and encourages participants to heighten their attentiveness to God in each moment of the journey.
