Preparing to Serve

Learn, Grow and Serve by Becoming a Stephen Minister

Do you have gifts for caring, encouragement and listening? If so, please prayerfully consider becoming a Stephen Minister. First Baptist Greenville is preparing to train another class of Stephen Ministers in 2018. Stephen Ministers provide confidential, emotional and spiritual support and care to people who are through a difficult time, such as divorce, grief, hospitalization, unemployment, terminal illness, relocation, chronic illness or loneliness. To find out more about becoming a Stephen Minister, talk with one of our Stephen Leaders: Robin Barton, Wofford Green, Hazel Harris, Duke McCall or Ann Quattlebaum.

How to Request a Stephen Minister: If either you or someone you know is having a difficult time dealing with a life crisis and need the caring friendship and support of a Stephen Minister, please contact one of FBG’s Stephen Leaders/ Ministers to ask for a referral card – or get one at the church Reception Desk.
