Fauré wrote of this work, “Everything I managed to entertain by way of religious illusion I put into my Requiem, which moreover is dominated from beginning to end by a very human feeling of faith in eternal rest.” This year is the 100th anniversary of the French composer’s death on November 4, 1924. Be present in our Sanctuary on October 10 to experience this beloved masterpiece of choral literature.
