NOTE FROM VIVIAN…

The Sanctuary Choir is preparing some especially great music for our worship service on February 17 – some old and some new. Handel’s Coronation anthems are some of the most beautiful choral sacred music in the repertoire. We will sing “Let Thy Hand Be Strengthened,” based on Psalm 89. The music is joyful, dance-like and spontaneous – a vivacious song of praise to God. Music has the power to fill us with joy and also to bring us peace. Dan Forrest’s new composition “Come to Me” is an exceptional invitation to the peace that God can bring.

I encourage you to get involved in our music ministry – it can be a tremendous source of energy and blessing in your life. Our Sanctuary Choir and children’s choirs (for children age 3-grade 5) rehearse on Wednesday evenings, Vocare (for students grades 6-12) and Bell Tower Ringers (handbells) on Sunday afternoons. Our church also hosts Chicora Voices and the Pride of Greenville Gay Men’s Chorus. Find your place of involvement!
