Meet Griffin Duffey, our new Ministry Assistant for Spiritual Formation and Outreach! Griffin has come aboard to support me and the church in all things spiritual formation. Griffin will provide administrative support for Sunday School classes, small groups, young adult ministry, visitors, new members, and churchwide spiritual formation.
Griffin grew up in Anderson, SC, as the third of four brothers in a ministry family. Upon finishing high school, he felt a sense of responsibility to critically engage with the faith tradition he inherited, leading him to pursue studying Philosophy and Religious Studies at Clemson University. Since graduating in May of 2020, he has taken on a variety of roles in the beverage industry. He started as a brewer, developing all varieties of beer offerings at a brewery. This led to overseeing the beverage program at a large coffee company. Most recently, he owns and operates a local non-alcoholic beverage company: Votive. He most enjoys playing basketball, cooking with friends, reading philosophy, and going to bed early.
Griffin’s office is the “fishbowl” office next to the mailroom (outside my office). Stop by this week and offer him a warm welcome! Griffin can be reached at griffin.duffey@firstbaptistgreenville.com and extension 149.
