Thanks to the work and planning of the ad hoc Religious Education Committee, which has been studying the expansion of theological education for congregants and for the community, The Forum@First will offer a 6-week pilot program beginning August 21, running through September 25. The course will meet on Sunday mornings, 9:15-10:15am, in the Fellowship Hall and via our live streaming services available through our website and Facebook page.
The Forum@First will live alongside our existing Sunday School classes—not as a replacement but as an extra option. Individual class members may decide to take a Forum course but would retain membership in their current class. We hope these short-term courses will draw anyone interested in exploring specific topics, church members not connected to an existing class, and members of the Greenville community.
Jim Dant will be the instructor and is very excited to spend part of his final few weeks here at First Baptist talking and teaching about his love of the Old Testament. For those who choose to participate in this pilot course, we look forward to seeing you on August 21. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Matt Rollins or Camille Loomis Rehnborg.
