Maundy Thursday on Wednesday

6:00pm | Fellowship Hall

On Wednesday, April 1, we will celebrate Maundy Thursday, the
day when Jesus shared his last supper with his disciples, washing
their feet and sharing a meal in a demonstration of holy friendship. We will reenact this story in an interactive, intergenerational worship service. Children, youth and adults are invited to participate in this experiential worship service in the Fellowship Hall at 6:00pm. (Wednesday night supper will be served as usual at 5:00pm.)

Good Friday

6:00pm | Chapel

Good Friday, April 3, is a solemn remembrance, marking
Jesus’ crucifixion and death; we will worship in Carpenter Chapel at 6:00pm. Our observance of Good Friday enriches the joy of Easter and the glorious celebration of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.

Sunrise Easter Worship

7:00am | Columbarium

This short and reflective service adapts the ancient Christian practice of the Easter vigil around a bonfire. We gather with prayer, Scripture and song to experience the world turning from shadow to light on Easter morning. The service will also include a water blessing in remembrance of our baptisms. In case of inclement weather, we will gather in the AYMC (Reception level) to watch the sunrise over the Reedy River.

Garden Easter Worship

8:30am | Labyrinth

This family-centered worship service is designed for children and adults. Co-led by Children and Youth Ministers, it will include a creative re-telling of the Easter story, music and a bubble benediction! All children will take home a gift designed to help them remember the story of Jesus’ life and resurrection. In case of inclement weather, this service will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Following the Garden Easter Service, worshippers are invited to a continental breakfast in the Parlor from 9:00-9:30am.
