After a west coast debut in California and an east coast debut at Greenville’s Peace Center, the documentary film Gay Chorus Deep South went on to win audiences’ hearts and critics’ awards in film festivals around the world. The film began its festival journey winning the Audience Choice Award at the acclaimed Tribeca Film Festival in New York City. From there, it went on to win awards in Europe, Canada, Australia, Asia and multiple other festivals in the United States. The film has now been purchased by MTV and will soon be released for mass viewing.

Because First Baptist Greenville plays such an important role in the film, MTV has allowed us to host an exclusive showing of the film. If you missed it at the Peace Center, make plans to see it here. If you saw it at the Peace Center, come see it again. There is no charge for the film, but donations will be received to support the Greenville Gay Men’s Chorus, so…bring a donation…bring a friend…and of course, bring tissues.
