The Annual Church Conference is coming up on Sunday, November 17, right after worship in the fellowship hall. Together, we will review and vote on the 2024 Mission and Ministry Plan (budget), hear updates on the vital work of our committees, and vote on the slate of Deacon nominees. The Church Conference is not just an administrative meeting but an expression of our shared commitment to steward the church’s mission and resources faithfully. I hope you will plan to join us for this important time together.
Boxed lunch is available by reservation only and includes a veggie and GF option. There is not a separate kid’s option but there is just one price—$5/box. You can register by going to the church website or calling the church office. The deadline for reservations is noon on Monday, November 11. Purchase of a lunch is not required to attend the Conference—all are welcome!

Upcoming Wednesday Nights
November 6 is a Breath Wednesday.
There will be no evening meal or programming for children, youth, or adults, except for Sanctuary Choir.
November 13 Breathing in Gratitude
On Wednesday, November 13, we will begin a new block of Wednesday night programming, and I am excited to lead Mid-Week Classic. On November 13, we will explore prayer, focusing on the specific practice of breath prayer—an ancient Christian tradition dating back to the 3rd century. Breath prayer aligns our breathing with a sacred phrase, helping us center our minds and spirits, drawing closer to God with each breath. It is one of my favorite ways to pray, and it beautifully connects to our theme this year: breath. Science tells us that deep, mindful breathing helps calm our nervous systems and manage stress, so this ancient practice offers both spiritual depth and practical peace. After the stressful weeks leading up to the election, it will be a gift to take a deep breath and recenter. We will also take time to reflect on gratitude and the Thanksgiving season. I look forward to sharing this time with you and discovering how God meets us in each breath. Join us as we pause, reflect, and prepare our hearts for the coming season.

P.S. My birthday is coming up on November 6! I hear it is a tradition to bring the pastor gifts. I would love some canned fruit for United Ministries or cereal for Mission Backpack. Happy birthday to me!
