Our morning worship service on December 9 is based on the scripture from Luke 1:78-79 – Because of God’s deep compassion, the dawn from heaven will break upon us, to give light to those who are sitting in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide us on the path of peace.
The Sanctuary Choir and chamber orchestra will provide music from Handel’s Messiah with Bergsvein Toverud, tenor soloist, and some of the most beautiful newly written carols by Dan Forrest, Stephen Smith, and Kim André Arnesen. “His Light in Us,” a poem by the Welsh-Scottish poet Euan Tait, is a piece written as a thanksgiving of new hope and light shining in dark times. Priscilla Harris, soprano, will serve as soloist in this piece. The music will be woven into a service of worship with spoken words from Jim Dant. It is our hope that you will find this service inspiring and uplifting.
Be here, and invite people to join you!
