Reading John, Encountering Jesus: A Study of the Gospel of John facilitated by Michelle McClendon will meet 10-11:30am on Fridays beginning September 6. The group will use resources by Gail O’Day, Frances Taylor Gench, and Amy-Jill Levine. The cost is $50.00 per person, payable to Michelle McClendon via check, cash, or Venmo. Register by September 4!
We will spend the first few weeks reviewing and then dive into the text where we left off in the spring. For those who were not with us, don’t let that stop you. Everyone will be catching up from the spring hiatus, necessitated by the illness of Michelle’s father.
The first few weeks will be review and will cover what you need to know to join in meaningful, interactive, lively Bible study on the gospel of John. We will look at the gospel through new lenses… and reconsider what the gospel might be saying to us in 2024, as we seek to make sense of the call to be faithful disciples in a complicated, fractured world. We hope you’ll be a part of this study with us!
Contact Becky Bouton or Michelle McClendon to register and/or for more detailed payment information.
