Hospice House of Greenville and Open Arms Hospice joined forces in 2007 to open the first home where patients in their end stages of life and their families can come and receive quality and compassionate care. Residents of Greenville no longer have to leave our community to seek the care offered by a hospice house. Patients can be cared for either in the Hospice House setting or their own homes. The vision of the Hospice House of Greenville is improved care, understanding, and respect for people in our community at end of life through a residential hospice facility to serve the people of Greenville and its surrounding communities.
First Baptist Greenville would like to congratulate Hospice House and Open Arms Hospice on their tenth anniversary and celebrate them during the month of August by gathering items for which they have a great need.
The items they need most at this time are:
- Hard candy (fruit and/or peppermints)
- Extra Large twin sheets (to fit hospital beds for at-home patients)
- Ensure or Boost nutritional drinks in any flavor
- Toothpaste (regular or travel size)
- Fabric and/or yarn
Please bring your items to one of the purple collection bins around the church. If you or a loved one is interested in Hospice House of Greenville, please call 864-688-1700.
