Begin with Book Club in the Media Center (Dear Black Girls by A’ja Wilson led by Rob Pyett) or Games & More in the Fellowship Hall. At 11:00am, gather in the Fellowship Hall for the program featuring Jonathan Brown, “Helping a Friend in Grief,” followed by lunch, announcements and prayer time.
February 11, 10:00am-1:30pm—Holy Rollers Historic Nicholtown Bus Tour with Yvonne Reeder
Learn the interesting history of our neighboring community and dialogue with others about its future. The group will then enjoy lunch at Olive Garden for more conversation around the tables.
February 13—FBG Engaged Hike to Keowee Toxaway State Park- Raven Rock Loop Trial
This 4-mile hike on a section of the Palmetto Trail includes the Natural Bridge and Raven Rock Loop trails. The hike is rated moderate, and might be one of your new favorites. Details are on the Engaged Aging website sign up page.
February 23—Engaged Aging Sunday at FBG
Our Engaged Aging community will be highlighted in morning worship service. We’ll celebrate the life and beauty of this ministry while learning about its partipants. We ask that those in our Engaged Aging Ministry consider submitting fun facts about yourself along with a picture that we can use to create an interactive space for the church to get to know you better. Fun Fact sheets for submission can be found in Sunday School classrooms and at the front desk. You can drop them in my mailbox or email them to Michael McEntyre by February 12.
February 23, 2:00-6:30pm—Roadrunners to the Mill Town Players, “And Then There Were None” by Agatha Christie (Sunday Trip)
Join us for this dark thriller at the Historic Pelzer Auditorium. We have a limited number of tickets, so register soon. Depart at Rotunda breezeway. The cost is $15 for ticket and transportation. (Note: This is a Sunday afternoon affair, so plan accordingly.)
