Summer with the Youth Family
Our summer is packed with opportunities for the youth to get involved! On Wednesdays that we are in town, we will have MidWeek Missions & More. We will begin at 9am with missions at a local nonprofit, meet for lunch around noon, and have bible study from 1-2pm at the AYMC. Parents can drop off at AYMC at 9am and pick up at 2pm.

Children’s Ministry Summer
Many of our Camps are still registering, and we would love to see your child/grandchild there. Summertime Family Faith calendars are available on the Children’s Hallway throughout the summer in our Resource Area. We hope you will pick one up each month and join us as we build faith habits at home for all ages!

Mission Week: Creation Care! June 10-13, 9am-12noon
The mission portion of the week will center on Creation Care and combined first through fifth graders. We will learn about an organization doing great work in our community and then do hands-on service with that organization. At noon First and Second Graders will be picked up prior to lunch. Third through fifth graders will stay for lunch and a fellowship outing that will end by 4pm.
Popsicles on the Playground June 23, 4pm
Families with children, birth through those who have just completed Kindergarten, are invited to join us on the FBG playground for a time of fellowship and fun!
Worship Arts Camp: June 24-28, 9am-12noon
All children, 4 years old (as of the start of the camp) through 5th grade, are invited to join us for a week of fun and worship arts! We will enjoy devotion time, art projects, music and more. The theme is “Brave.” Worship Arts Camp is a lot like VBS, but each element helps our children learn to lead in worship while having fun. We are grateful to the Stelling family for their generous donation in honor of Jane Stelling to help make this camp affordable for families!
Pool Party July 7, 5:30pm
Our current first through fifth graders (for the 2023-2024 school year) are invited to join us for pizza and swimming at the McEntrye House!
Camp Prism July 16-19
Camp Prism, led by ministers in churches from SC and NC, is an incredible opportunity for our third through fifth graders to spend the week together having fun and growing in faith. Together, we plan this camp with our different churches in mind. There is time for recreation, fun, fellowship, worship and, of course, faith formation.
Blessing Sunday, August 11, 9:00am
Children’s Block Party, August 18, 3-4:30pm
Join us for an afternoon of fun, refreshments, and important information you need to know about Children’s Ministry at FBG over the coming year. There will be soft scape play options for four and under and plenty of activities for our older children, too. We hope to see you there!
