The leaves are changing, and the days are getting shorter. That can only mean one thing on college campuses—exam season is close at hand! Our middle and high schoolers assemble care packages for our college students in late November and write notes of encouragement. We love hearing about all the little “extra” notes and doo-dads they include for their older friends! It’s not too late for YOU to contribute to our college care packages! We need non-perishable snacks and baked goods to include in every box.
Non-perishable donations are due by Sunday, November 21. Here are some favorite requests:
Easy Mac, microwavable meals, Rice Krispy® treats, pretzels, chips, crackers, gum, candy/suckers (not chocolate), fruit snacks, trail mix & popcorn. Please be sure these are individually wrapped items, so they can be divided into multiple packages.
All snacks are appreciated, but there’s something extra about a homemade sweet! Bake an extra Thanksgiving tray this Thanksgiving for our college students! Donate some baked goodies for our college care packages on Sunday, November 28. Please drop off donations at the church’s main office between 12noon and 2pm. Youth staff will be present to accept donations. Please divide your treats into sealable Ziploc® baggies with 2-4 items per bag.
Thank you for bringing exam season cheer to our college students!
