“On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they went in they did not find Jesus’ body.” (Luke 24:1-2)
This Easter morning, walk the path to the tomb as the disciples did: in the early morning. All church members and community members are enthusiastically invited to celebrate Jesus’ resurrection on Easter morning! Join us for two outdoor worship services, or gather in the Sanctuary at 10:30am for Easter worship.
Sunrise Easter Service, 7:00am, April 20, Columbarium
This short and reflective service adapts the ancient Christian practice of the Easter vigil around a bonfire. We gather with prayer, Scripture and song to experience the world turning from shadow to light on Easter morning. The service will also include a water blessing in remembrance of our baptisms.
Garden Easter Service, 8:30am, April 20, Labyrinth
This family-centered worship service is designed for children and adults. Co-led by Children, Youth and Adult Ministers, it will include a creative re-telling of the Easter story, music and a bubble benediction! All children will take home a gift designed to help them remember the story of Jesus’ life and resurrection. In case of inclement weather, this service will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Following the Garden Easter Service, worshippers are invited to a continental breakfast in the Parlor from 9:00-9:30am.
Sanctuary Easter Service, 10:30am, April 20, Sanctuary
Celebrate Jesus’ resurrection with an exuberant worship service in the Sanctuary! This service includes brass instrumentalists, favorite Easter hymns and a message of hope. The 10:30am service will also be available via Livestream. Don’t forget to bring flowers from your garden to flower the cross before or after worship!
