Give me room from A to Z to dream any possibility. I want to grow up to be me. I want to be free!

If you have a third, fourth, or fifth grader, this line from Reverend Russ Dean’s theme song for Camp Prism 2019 might sound familiar! This summer we took 37 children, including some of our IHN friends, to our annual four-day sleep-away camp at Bonclarken Conference Center where we celebrated the forty-second session of Camp Prism along with nine other CBF churches. Our theme for the week was Free to Be God’s People, so we learned about the exodus stories and how God still frees us to be who God created us to be. The kids loved campfire time, crafts, swimming, GaGa ball games, Bible study groups, worship and paddle boating, as well as the chance to go airborne on the zip line and the Leap of Faith. Of course, they always enjoy grabbing a snack (or two or more!) at the Nibble Nook.

Many thanks to our fearless chaperones: Bruce Brown, Matt Good, Tony McDade, Todd Ramsey, Emily Matthews, Caroline Wright and United Ministry intern, Marie Smith!
