Canned Fruit Collection: September Missions Focus

Wow! We have already collected so many cans of fruit during these first few weeks of September! Let’s keep up the momentum with our Big Fruit Birthday Bash this Wednesday, September 22. Celebrate Pastor Jim’s 60th Birthday by bringing canned fruit donations when you come to church for MidWeek Fellowship!
In celebration of 60 years, please consider making fruit donations in multiples of 6: 6 cans, 12 cans, 24 cans… 60 cans or even 600 cans! The more canned fruit the better! Just look for the balloons outside the Fellowship Hall, and drop off your donation with our Fruit Collection Team as you make your way into the building. (If you aren’t able to stay for MidWeek Fellowship, feel free to drive through the Rotunda Breezeway to drop-off your donation.) We will celebrate during the dinner hour with a special birthday dessert prepared by Uptown Catering!
Please also continue to bring canned fruit donations any time during the month to our drop-off locations on campus: Front Desk, Fellowship Hall Lobby, or AYMC Lobby.
First Baptist Greenville has a long history of supporting our neighbors in need by collecting canned fruit for United Ministries. The Food Pantry is just one of the crisis assistance programs offered by United Ministries working to “provide hopeful options, strong encouragement and a measure of stability to people finding themselves facing financial uncertainty.” For more information about the impact this organization is making in our community, visit their website. united-ministries.org/crisis-assistance.
