The Property Committee is pleased to share that an automatic door opener has been added to the Narthex! Looking at the Sanctuary from the parking lot, the doors on the far right have a push plate on the column near the bench. The interior push plate is found on the column nearest the door. Both doors will open wide to greet you or make your exit from the building easier.
This addition is one of many ways we aim to make worship and the building accessible to all visitors.
• Family Bathroom in the Narthex—Find this restroom next to the water fountain in the Narthex (near the women’s restroom). Perfect for parents, partners or caregivers accompanying a family member to the restroom or anyone needing space and privacy.
• Sensory Cart—Do you or someone you love need a little sensory support to feel comfortable in our Sanctuary (or small group/Sunday School)? The Children’s Ministry has purchased items for a sensory cart, including noise reducing headphones, fidgets and weighted lap pads. The cart is located in the Narthex by the visitors’ table.
• Magnifying Glasses—These are available on the credenza by the visitors’ table.
• Sound Amplifiers—These are available on the credenza by the visitors’ table. The Sanctuary is also equipped with a T-loop for compatible hearing aids.
• Closed Captions on Livestream—Our services and events broadcast on Vimeo and Facebook are equipped with closed captions. Click the “cc” button at the bottom of the video to display captions.
• Elevators—These are available throughout the building. Greeters are positioned from 9-9:30am and 10-10:30am to help open doors and escort you to and from your vehicle as needed.
• Visitor Parking and Accessible Parking—There are reserved spots for visitors close to the Chapel entrance and designated accessible parking close to the main entrance.
• Parking Lot Golf Cart—Volunteers circle our parking lots before and after service to provide transport assistance from your car to the entrance.
