This year, United Way has worked to meet the needs of school children in our community in new ways to meet the new circumstances. From The United Way:
You can play a critical role in giving Greenville County kids the tools they need to excel this fall. In an effort to keep our community as safe as possible and give you every opportunity to get involved, School Tools is going virtual for 2020. From online gifts and virtual shopping to in-person collection drives and community drop-off days, we are bringing you plenty of safe ways to support our students and their families this year:
1. Make an online donation to help fund Wi-Fi hotspots for students, offset teachers’ out-of-pocket classroom expenses and support United Way education initiatives. Visit the link below.
2. Purchase much needed school supplies for students and classrooms from the comfort of your own home or office through our Amazon and Walmart wishlists. Visit the link below.
3. Collect supplies through your company or neighborhood and drop them off on August 12 or August 19, from 10:00am-2:00pm at the United Way office (105 Edinburgh Court, Greenville 29607). Please wear a face covering and help us stay safe by social distancing.
Visit the School Tools website to learn more about this year’s School Tools program and how to get involved. Thank you for supporting Greenville County students and their families during this critical time.
