…and you know who you are. Maybe nobody else does, but you know, and if you’re not being a good steward of your artistic gifts, the world is poorer for it, and you… well, you’re probably not feeling very fulfilled.
Did you know that First Baptist has had a Visual Arts Team operating quietly behind the scenes for several years? You’ve seen their beautiful paintings in the Lenten booklet. You’ve seen their objects in worship and at MidWeek Fellowship. They’ve already made significant contributions to our worship and fellowship experiences, but we’ve only scratched the surface!
That’s where you come in! It’s time to start plotting and planning for the opportunities for art in the 2018-2019 church year. We’ll be meeting briefly after church on Sunday, July 15, in classroom A-418 on the Heritage Hallway that extends across the Rotunda from the Sanctuary on that upper floor. Just show up that day around 11:45am. If you can’t make it, call me and let me catch you up on things (ext. 138). Maybe this is that opportunity for you to encourage the unsung artists you know to start sharing their gifts.
The church needs its artists. That’s why God gave you such special gifts and perspectives! Come join us!
