Have you ever wondered what Seminary is like for the budding ministers we bless and send off every once in a while? Is it theological boot camp—“Drop and give me ten…commandments!”—or more like a series of semester-sized spiritual retreats? What classes do they take? What does seminary do to their faith, to their understanding of the gospel?
If you have ever been curious about who our current seminary students are and what they are doing in their studies—or even if you’ve never thought about it until now—you are invited to participate in our Advent Sunday School Series: A Conversation with Our Seminary Students. Across three of the four Sundays in Advent, I will be interviewing our seminary students, letting them tell their stories of pursuing their theological education in the light of Hope, Joy, Peace and Love. It will be a wonderful opportunity for you to get to know them and to get a sense of the ups and downs and emotional and spiritual extremes they have experienced along the way.
