How is July already here? Our youth summer began, we blinked, and now it’s past halfway through. The Youth Family had a busy June—especially compared to last summer! The same day we arrived home from our senior trip, we held Unidiversity Day. This allows all our youth who are attending camp in a few weeks an opportunity to sign up for their seminars and electives. We have engaged in several “Mission Possibles,” working with Annie’s House, United Ministries, and even serving at Project Host on a Sunday morning. As important as service is to this family, we are not “all work and no play.” We also visited the U.S. National Whitewater Center in Charlotte, NC. We had the chance to climb high ropes and learn how to whitewater raft! We held our first “Big Game Night” this past Friday evening from 6pm-midnight and had a great time playing awesome games and roaming the church at night while Jim Dant is away.
Summer isn’t over yet, though! We’ve got one more Mission Possible, and we’ll cap off summer with Unidiversity Youth Camp and our end-of-the-year pool party. We are so excited that we’ll once again be traveling to Maryville, Tennessee, for a week of camp with our youth group friends from across the Southeast. We have a great group from FBG this year, and we are so thankful that we are able to go there! Enjoy all our pictures from the summer so far and prepare yourselves for more photos from our upcoming adventures.
