Souper Bowl of Caring

For over 25 years, young groups have made a united effort to use the energy of the Super Bowl to collect dollars to help care for partnering people and communities. Immediately following worship this Sunday, February 4, members of our Youth Family will be at Sanctuary exits collecting monetary donations in soup pots. This year, 100% of the money collected will go towards inner city missions in Washington, D.C. This summer our high school youth will travel to D.C. for their mission trip and stay at Calvary Baptist Church where our own Rev. Maria Swearingen and Rev. Sally Sarratt are co-pastors. Our host organization while in D.C., Reach Beyond Mission, will provide for us an alternative mission trip opportunity in which our youth will not only serve in the inner city, but also learn how they might work in their own communities.
