Thanks to all who were able to participate in Operation Inasmuch 2017. We had more than 223 volunteers serving as the hands and feet of Christ in over 12 different agencies. Projects included landscaping, painting houses, replacing doors, sorting baby clothes for new babies in Greenville, and visiting shut-ins, among many other things. Our FBG knitters had previously created beautiful bibs and burp cloths with special notes attached which were sorted into gift bags to be given to new mothers through Greenville’s Gift.

We made new friends and deepened old friendships. We got to know members of the Greenville community who were in need of our services. We sought to create a space for God to do God’s work in the lives of the people that we touched this weekend – and in our own lives. Included here is a link to some pictures of the day and a link to see the video created by Bootie and his team.

Part of the goal of Operation Inasmuch is to help church members get to know our local nonprofit agencies in our community. FBG already does an excellent job partnering with agencies in Greenville, so maybe Operation Inasmuch can serve as a refresher on ways we can continue to be involved throughout the year. Agencies that we connected with this year were: Annie’s House, FBG’s neighborhood partnership, Greenville’s Gift, Greenville Free Medical Clinic, Safe Harbor, Serenity Place, United Ministries, Triune Mercy Center, Genesis Homes, Homes of Hope, The Family Effect, etc.
