Isn’t it fun to see God’s kingdom in action? During the week of June 22-25, thirty- three children grades 3-5 immersed themselves in God’s work in our community. Not only did they spend their days doing missions with four different organizations, they also learned scripture and posted reflections on all that they discovered in their missions scrapbooks.
Mornings were spent learning about recycling and the valuable work of our SAVER Committee from Mrs. Pam Shucker, visiting Serenity Place and making blankets for the babies there, delivering for Loaves and Fishes, and touring the Greenville Literacy Association.
In the afternoons, they had fun wading the creek at Paris Mountain State Park, playing at Frankie’s Fun Park, painting pottery at Color Clay Café, and cooling off at a pool party at Mrs. Doris Clanton’s house. What a great week! Look for news soon on Children’s Missions Week with our first and second graders!
