This year, during our week of Art Experiences, 4 and 5 year olds studied Henri Matisse’s stained glass creations and explored our church and its beautiful stained glass windows. Carol Ann Good led a team that helped the children create their own stunning stained glass windows. Some of the children depicted scenes from the Bible that were meaningful to them while others chose to highlight symbols of the Christian faith. Their designs were beautiful. Each of the children also developed a portfolio which illustrated some of Matisse’s work and included several colorful collages of their own.
