SAVE YOUR EMPTY WINE BOTTLES TO HELP BUILD A WALL

There is a first time for everything, I guess…

The administration of Annie’s House has requested our church members donate their empty wine bottles to Annie’s House. The wine bottles will be used to build retaining walls in the landscaping of the home. Consistent with the practice of sustainability, this provides for the reuse of wine bottles rather than having them dumped at landfills and it also significantly reduces the need for mortar and other materials that would otherwise have to be purchased.

So, the membership of a Baptist church has been asked to donate their empty wine bottles. We were honest with them. We told them they would probably only receive one or two….thousand… 🙂

So, if you happen to be a church member that empties wine bottles, please take them by Annie’s House August 17-October 3, 8:00am-7:00pm, and drop them off in the bin located on the front porch of Annie’s House (60 Baxter Street). I’ve got a feeling this is going to be a big wall….
