Upcoming Mission Opportunities

August Churchwide Mission Opportunity
The Generations Group Homes, founded in 1991, serve at-risk boys ages 10-19. The average age of those served is 14-15. Our project this month is to gather board and card games, Wii games, CDs, sports equipment, stationery, stamps and batteries for these boys. Please bring your donations to the bins provided throughout the church. For more information about this organization and their mission visit the Generations Group website or call Roseanne Brown at 243-5557 ext.269.

September Churchwide Mission Opportunity
In September, First Baptist will have the privilege of assisting Safe Harbor, a place where victims of domestic violence can start a new life. Please bring: Clorox Clean-Ups, Pine-Sol, paper towels, kitchen trash bags, twin plastic mattress covers, plastic pillow cases, ladies socks. Items may be placed in the bins throughout the church. For more information about Safe Harbor, visit the Safe Harbor website or call Julie Meredith at 467-0603.
